Alzheimer Nederland, Diabetes Fonds, Fonds Psychische Gezondheid, Longfonds (voorheen Astma Fonds) en Maag Lever Darm Stichting besloten in een pand te gaan samenwonen met als doel krachten te bundelen. Het pand kreeg als nieuwe bestemming “Huis voor de Gezondheid” waarbij de gezondheidsorganisaties meer kwaliteit realiseren door samenwerking. Voorzitter van het Huis voor de Gezondheid Michael Rutgers: ‘Het Huis voor de Gezondheid sluit goed aan bij de ontwikkelingen van dit kabinet, waarin de overheid in een razend tempo ‘ontzorgt’. Juist daarom is het belangrijk om als Huis voor de Gezondheid krachten te bundelen en samen een vuist te maken voor de chronisch zieken.’ Het Huis voor de Gezondheid is mede mogelijk gemaakt door de VriendenLoterij.
