Our youth summer camps can help your son or daughter increase grades, confidence, and motivation. Held at a variety of prestigious college campuses nationwide and select global locations, SuperCamp empowers teens and prepares them for a life of excellence-personally, academically, and in their chosen path in life. SuperCamp is a place of non-stop activity, where students experience a shift in learning through academic enrichment classes, exciting outdoor challenges, personal growth and character building exercises. It’s renewed confidence emerging from a sense of team. It’s intense days of discovery and motivation from wake-up to lights-out. It’s a program taught by experts, offering skills that last a lifetime. Imagine the experience of success and growing confidence every step of the way. That’s SuperCamp! Products At SuperCamp, our curriculum is about making learning fun and engaging. In this environment, students in ourJunior Forum and Senior Forum programs gain the skil ... ls necessary to become better learners. Unlike other academic camps that focus on one discipline, such as writing or math, SuperCamp's summer academic programs provide students with long-term value by showing them how to learn more effectively in every subject, as well as how to live their best lives. Some years ago Dr. Howard Gardner changed our thinking about intelligence from “How smart are you?” to “How are you smart?” At SuperCamp students explore his “multiple intelligences” that define eight different ways to demonstrate intellectual ability. They identify which of the following intelligences “fit” how they are smart, and how to use that information to enhance their learning. • Spatial-Visual • Linguistic-Verbal • Interpersonal • Musical-Rhythmic • Naturalistic • Bodily-Kinesthetic • Intrapersonal • Logical-Mathematical We all take in information through three learning channels-visual, auditory, and kinesthetic-though our brains tend to have a preference for one of these. At SuperCamp, students identify their personal learning preference and learn valuable strategies to enhance their learning by utilizing all three channels. Understanding how the mind approaches learning can have a significant effect on a student's performance in school. Students who attend one of our educational summer camps will be able to learn, comprehend, and recall information more easily, which can lead to better grades, and ultimately to a higher GPA. Similarly, studying becomes a much easier task once a student knows how to utilize the customized style-specific techniques they learn. In addition, the following topics that empower students to be successful in their academic and personal lives are covered indepth: • Study Strategies • Reading • Writing • Note-Taking/Mind Mapping • Memory • Math • SAT/ACT • College-Prep • 8 Keys of Excellence Character Program • 21st Century Skills • Communication and Relationships • Leadership • Breaking Through Personal Barriers • Motivation and Goal Setting
