Presidency University (Bengali: প্রেসিডেন্সী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university located in Gulshan and Banani , Dhaka, Bangladesh. Presidency University has three schools containing four departments with a strong emphasis on research-based education. It is a new university, established in 2003, and currently more than 1,500 students are enrolled. The number of faculty members teaching at the university is nearly 100. In 2008, it opened a new branch in nearby Banani, Dhaka to cater to the growing number of students.
