The school is affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and encourages students to live out the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To honor its faith tradition, the school provides many opportunities for students to get involved with the community through service programs. You can help throw a carnival for an elementary school, adopt a grandparent, or assist at a local blood drive, just to name a few. The school offers many social activities on campus. Many academic societies, leadership organizations, internships and student council opportunities are also available. Academics include more than 70 bachelor’s degrees and 18 associate’s degrees in fields like Agribusiness, Recreation Management, Computer Science and Engineering, Music and more. Admissions are determined by an applicant’s ACT or SAT scores, high school GPA, AP or IB classes, and GED or COMPASS scores. The university offers merit-based scholarships to eligible students. Other forms of financial aid available to students who have filed a FAFSA and demonstrate need include federal grants and loans.
