Additional bachelor’s degrees are awarded in Marine Environmental Science, Marine Operations and Marine Studies, Electrical Engineering and Naval Architecture. SUNY Maritime also offers a master’s degree in International Transportation Management. Students in these programs undergo rigorous training, with particular emphasis placed on hands-on work. Outside of class, the cadet lifestyle is enforced through physical discipline, which includes various athletic activities. Participation in student organizations is also encouraged. These offerings include academic, cultural, pre-professional and religious clubs and associations. An application with transcripts, recommendation letters and SAT scores is required for admission to SUNY Maritime. Financial aid is available to eligible students through state and private scholarships, in addition to other sources.
