Royal Oaks Lifecare Community started as a dream of Dr. J. Davis Illingworth and Mr. Roe Walker. In the winter of 1983, Royal Oaks opened its doors. The 38 acre campus includes 263 Independent Living Apartments, 110 Independent Living Garden Homes, 59 Assisted Living apartments, and a 125-bed skilled nursing facility. As a non profit, non denominational retirement community, Royal Oaks Lifecare fosters growth, dignity, choice, honor, independence, and wellness for residents. We are celebrating our 36th year of service to our residents in 2019 - with expansion plans in the development phase currently. With a vibrant and active group of residents and employees, we offer an exceptional place to both work and live!
