About No Labels

nolabels.org

With a focus on developing bipartisan solutions to America’s most pressing challenges, No Labels is committed to prioritizing the nation over political parties and special interests. The organization works to unite leaders across all political parties and to counter the divides that hinder internal cooperation within government. To this end, it facilitates collaboration and commonsense problem-solving to address the big issues that affect Americans on a daily basis. These range from healthcare and gun safety to climate change and the economy. No Labels carries out its work through the Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan bloc seeking to cut through the nation’s political dysfunction and bridge the gap between the two parties. The first of its kind, the Problem Solvers Caucus includes Congressional Democrats and Republicans who are dedicated to finding common ground and working together toward sound policies and positive change. In addition, No Labels has created a library of media and informational resources to help Americans understand how their government works and how it can be improved. Via its website, the organization offers podcasts, downloadable booklets, and factsheets on current policy debates and the broader causes contributing to the country’s major problems. No Labels was founded in 2010 as a response to the widening divide between the two main parties and the need for cooperation during the 2008 recession. Created as a forum for problem-solving rooted in good faith, it was built around the concept of incentivizing America’s leaders to put the country’s best interests above party loyalties. Over time, No Labels grew into a nationwide coalition. Today, its network encompasses members of Congress, local and state leaders, prominent businesses, college student chapters, citizen supporters, and a presence on Capitol Hill. In December 2020, No Labels welcomed Maryland governor Larry Hogan as its national co-chair.
