Kop & Kande har 96 butikker over hele Danmark samt i Grønland, på Island og Færøerne, hvor 550 faguddannede medarbejdere står klar til at råde og vejlede i den lokale butik. Tilbage i 1978 stiftede 54 selvstændige isenkræmmere en indkøbsforening, som i 1984 blev til Kop & Kande. I løbet af 90’erne valgte medlemmerne at gøre samarbejdet stadig mere forpligtende og samle sig omkring et egentligt koncept og en ensartet profil. På den måde blev der skabt en stærkt profileret kæde baseret på sunde butikker med gode lokale placeringer og et stort engagement. Kop & Kande a.m.b.a. er i dag et selvstændigt juridisk selskab. Alle medlemmer af Kop & Kande er optaget i kæden via deres status som andelshavere i Kop & Kande a.m.b.a.
