The college even maintains an Office of Social Commitment, which advises Grinnell students on better to serve the common good. The OSC organizes the “Grinnell Corps,” which provides post-graduate services opportunities. It is also responsible for much of Grinnell’s merit-based financial aid, such as the Obermiller Scholarship and the Baumann Essay Prize. Grinnell organizes into three main divisions: Humanities, Science and Social Studies. In addition to the programs that fall under these banners, the college offers a variety of interdisciplinary concentrations.
